QUESTION: Am I a good candidate?
ANSWER: The CoolSculpting fat reduction procedure is specifically designed for those who have pockets/areas of unwanted fat that resists diet and exercise. Unlike gastric bypass surgery, the CoolSculpting procedure is not a weight loss solution. It is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. QUESTION: How much does the CoolSculpting procedure cost?
ANSWER: The price for CoolSculpting procedures vary depending on the areas of concern and applicators needed for treatment, the number of treatment sessions needed, and your ultimate goals. We will help create a customized treatment plan, that is tailored to your body, your goals, and your budget.
QUESTION: How long is each session? How many sessions will I need?
ANSWER: Each applicator takes approximately 35 minutes. The length of your CoolSculpting session will vary depending on the number of areas being treated during one visit. We have two CoolSculpting machines so your treatment can be done twice as fast! Most patients will see a result with only one treatment, however we have found the more treatments to an area, the happier our patients are. We may schedule additional sessions in order to meet your goals.
QUESTION: Where does the fat go? Are the results permanent?
ANSWER: Once the targeted fat cells are frozen, your body breaks down the fat and eliminates these dead cells. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good. We do advise you continue the same, healthy diet and exercise routine so you can maintain your results.
QUESTION: What does it feel like?
ANSWER: As the cooling begins during the first few minutes, you will feel pressure and intense cold. This will dissipate after 5 – 7 minutes. Many people watch Netflix (provided by Aesthetics By Eileen), work on their laptop, read, or take a nap during their treatment.
QUESTION: Is the CoolSculpting procedure safe?
ANSWER: The CoolSculpting procedure was FDA approved in 2010. With over one million CoolSculpting treatments performed worldwide, it is proven to be a safe and effective treatment for non-surgical fat reduction.
QUESTION: Are there any side effects?
ANSWER: During the procedure you may experience deep pulling, tugging, pinching, numbness, or discomfort. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging and pain. Rare side effects may also occur. You should not have CoolSculpting if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria. As with any medical procedure, ask our certified healthcare provider if CoolSculpting is right for you.
QUESTION: Can I return to normal activities after my treatment?
ANSWER: Yes. The CoolSculpting procedure is completely non-surgical, so you can return to normal activities immediately. Often, patients return to work after their CoolSculpting session is over.
QUESTION: When will I see results?
ANSWER: You may start to see changes as quickly as three weeks after your treatment and will experience the most dramatic results after three months.
QUESTION: Do I need to take special supplements or follow a strict diet and exercise program?
ANSWER: No supplements or pills are required. However, we do find motivated patients who are following a healthy lifestyle (healthy eating and exercise habits) typically have faster results. Many patients feel more motivated to take care of themselves after their CoolSculpting treatment.
QUESTION: What happens if I gain weight down the road?
ANSWER: Many people, after seeing the results from their CoolSculpting procedure, take even better care of themselves. However, if you do gain weight, you may gain it evenly all over your body, not just in the treated areas.

Danielle Soffe has been practicing as a high-level nurse for 10 years and an Advanced Practice Nurse for 5 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Clemson University in 2010. She then moved to Washington, D.C. where she worked in the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit at Georgetown University Hospital. During her five years at Georgetown, Danielle was not only a staff nurse, but served as charge nurse, new nurse educator, and the lead stroke coordinator. Danielle was accepted into and earned her Master of Science degree with a specialty as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in 2015 from Georgetown University. Soon after, she relocated back to Raleigh to be closer to her family.
Danielle came to Aesthetics By Eileen after working in family practice and weight loss for 3 years, where she focused on acute and chronic health condition management and prevention through guiding her patients in lifestyle changes. She then found her path to medical aesthetics by following her passion, which has always been healthy skin after her own battle with acne.
As a Nurse Practitioner at Aesthetics By Eileen, Danielle loves using combination therapy to help patients reach their goals, whether it be with injectables and Hydrafacial, to IPL laser skin brightening with microneedling radiofrequency or Fraxel laser with platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatment. She enjoys educating her patients about skin care and its importance, procedures to improve/maintain the integrity of their skin, and body contouring (CoolSculpting and Emsculpt).

Eileen brings over 30+ years of specialized nursing experience to the practice. Since 1997, she has developed her expertise as an Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, working with leading dermatologists, vascular surgeons, general surgeons, and plastic surgeons in Palm Beach, Chicago, Detroit, and the extended triangle area of North Carolina. She specializes in cosmetic enhancement procedures for the face, neck, chest, hands, and body. This includes facial sculpting, lip enhancement, chemical brow lifts, laser rejuvenation, laser resurfacing, and comprehensive leg vein treatments.
Eileen is recognized nationally and locally as a leader in Laser and Injectable Training for Aesthetic professionals. Her expertise is sought frequently by other medical professionals for assistance in designing treatment correction plans. Additionally, she has devoted years to research, studying and evaluating skin care products to offer the best of the best in intelligent skin care that works.
